Fucus serratus (and nursery)

The eastern (Kettleness) end of Runswick Bay is a rocky beach, and at spring low tide today, rarely seen stretches of beach carpetted with saw wrack (Fucus serratus) are exposed:


Push the seaweed aside, and there's a Fucus nursery, with small fronds of the seaweed (about 1cm long) growing:
