Laminaria saccharina

A bit the worse for wear having been torn off a rock and washed ashore in the roughest seas I have ever seen here.
The holdfasts.
A frond in close up. Don't confuse this with Dabberlock, (Alaria esculenta) which looks similar but has a stiffening central rib running the length of the frond.
