Daffs in front of the Runswick Bay village sign.

Lichen on top of it, too. They have done well to survive the hail, snow and northerly gales which have made this spring so whimsical. When the weather cheers up I shall take a wander along the disused railway track to see what is coming into bud and flower. Here's an entangled bank from the railway track in those warmer days in August.Tangled bank is also a blog carnival of biology, natural history and medicine. Here's the most recent one. Go and browse.
