Brachiopod discovery

Brachiopod jurassic bivalves have been discovered before, but this is the first time I've found them in Runswick Bay. Found in rock-fall at the foot of cliffs to the north of Runswick village.

Hey Peter! Based on the picture I'm about 95% certain that this is a bivalve mollusk and not a brachiopod. I asked a colleague who works on brachiopod systematics and she agrees.

I don't know my Jurassic bivalves too well but it might be Plagiostoma. Cool find!
